Horseshoe Bay Resort Policies 

Check-In Authorization & Payment Policy

At check-in, a pre-authorization hold will be placed on the guest’s credit or debit card for the full amount of the stay plus $200 per day for incidentals. This authorization allows charging privileges throughout the resort. For debit cards, authorization holds may temporarily reduce available funds and may remain on the account for 1–10 days, depending on the issuing bank. A valid government-issued photo ID and credit card are required at check-in.


Reservation Deposit Policy

Deposits are not required for standard individual reservations unless otherwise stated. During special event periods, blackout dates, or select promotional offers, full prepayment may be required at the time of booking. These reservations may be non-refundable, non-changeable, and subject to minimum night stay requirements.


Cancellation Policy

Standard reservations must be canceled at least 72 hours prior to 4:00 PM on the day of arrival to avoid a one-night room and tax charge. Cancellations made within this window, no-shows, or early departures may result in applicable fees. Exceptions may apply based on rate plan or promotional offer.


Guest Room Reservation Limits

Individual reservations are limited to a maximum of 9 rooms per night. Reservations of 10 rooms or more are subject to group booking policies.


Pet Policy

Horseshoe Bay Resort is pet-friendly in Palm Villas only. A non-refundable pet fee applies. Pets must be leashed at all times while on property.


Resort Fee

Horseshoe Bay Resort has a daily Resort Fee of $45 per room, per night that includes:

  • Complimentary Unlimited Wi-Fi
  • 24-Hour Fitness Center
  • Tower Pool (heated) and Paseo Pool – with Towel Service
  • S’mores and fire pits lit daily at sunset
  • Exotic bird encounters
  • Playground, sand volleyball, lawn games (horseshoes, cornhole, bocce, cement outdoor checkers); recreational kids’ activities include various games and crafts as scheduled
  • In- Room Coffee, Tea, and two bottled waters per day, coffee, tea (in room)
  • Ice machines and snack vending machines located on every guestroom floor
  • Electric-car charging stations (available at valet)
  • Transportation Service throughout Resort
  • Access to Golf Practice Facilities
  • Golf Bag Storage for groups with less than 50 attendees
  • Self-Service Laundry Facilities

Smoking & Vaping Policy

Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all guest rooms, apartments, and public areas of the resort, including the spa, marina, yacht club, clubhouses, and function spaces. A $250 room recovery fee will be assessed for violations.


Dress Code & Attire Policy

Appropriate attire is required throughout Horseshoe Bay Resort.

  • Golf Courses & Facilities: Collared shirts required; no t-shirts or denim; soft spikes only
  • Fitness Facilities: Appropriate athletic attire required; closed-toed shoes and shirts mandatory
  • Pools & Beaches: Proper swim attire required; promiscuous swimwear is not permitted

Interpretation of appropriate attire is at the sole discretion of Resort Management. Service may be refused if attire does not meet resort standards.


Pool Policy

Food, beverages, coolers, and outside food from other establishments are not permitted in resort pool areas.


Parking Policy

Valet and self-parking options are available to registered guests.


Firearm Policy

In accordance with Texas Penal Code Sections 30.06 and 30.07, a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (Handgun Licensing Law), may not enter this property with a concealed or openly carried handgun.

Spanish-language notices are posted on property as required by law.


SMS Communication

Guests purchasing concessions from resort outlets may choose to receive their receipt via SMS/Text message. Participation is optional and subject to the resort’s privacy policy.
