Catch a glimpse of our exotic bird family at the Whitewater Putting Hut, Wednesday through Sunday from 10–11 AM. Come visit and meet some of our most colorful residents, as select birds make special appearances each day. With 15 birds in total and three full-time handlers providing specialized care, every visit is a unique chance to meet some of our most colorful residents!

Buster is a 22-year-old male Blue and Gold Macaw with a big personality. Known for his playful (and slightly mischievous) sense of humor, he loves to surprise guests—he thinks it’s all in good fun! Stop by and say hello to one of our most colorful characters.

Peaches The Cockatoo

Salmon Crested Cockatoo | 32 years old | Male

Peaches is a 32-year-old Salmon-Crested Cockatoo with a big personality and a fun surprise—he was thought to be a girl for years! Despite the name, Peaches is all boy and full of charm. He’s known for his striking salmon feathers and playful attitude that guests love.

Rio is our 18-year-old Green-Winged Macaw and the youngest member of our bird family. She’s grown up right here at the resort and loves being part of the action. Sweet, curious, and full of charm – Rio is always ready to say hello!

Double Yellow Headed Amazonian | 29 Years Old | Female

Checo is a 29-year-old Double Yellow-Headed Amazon and our resident chatterbox! She’s the most talkative of the flock and loves to show off her impressive vocabulary. With her bold personality and bright feathers, Checo is always the life of the party

Pancake Breakfast

Join us on Friday, July 26, at Whitewater 360 for a delightful Pancake Breakfast featuring four unique pancake varieties and a selection of classic breakfast favorites.

To make the morning even more special, a few of our exotic birds will be stopping by for a visit. It’s a fun and flavorful way to start your day—perfect for the whole family.

Breakfast With The Birds

Horseshoe Bay Resort presents a unique opportunity to enjoy a sumptuous breakfast buffet while viewing and learning about our exotic birds and meeting their talented handlers. Dine on all your favorite breakfast foods and pose for pictures with the Cockatoos, Macaws, Parrots, and Parakeets that call the resort home. Doors will open at 9 a.m., the exotic bird presentation with our bird handler will be at 10:00-10:20 a.m., and the buffet, along with photo ops, will run the whole duration.

Experience is exclusive to overnight hotel guests and Members of The Club at Horseshoe Bay.
