While the health and safety of our guests has always been a top priority, when you return to Horseshoe Bay Resort you will find that we've made a number of enhancements - including new cleaning protocols for guest rooms, common areas and high-touch surfaces; along with new options for dining.

Is the Horseshoe Bay Resort Hotel open?

Yes, we are open and look forward to hosting you soon.

Did anything change with Checking in & out?

  • Masks are required on all areas of the property to be compliant with Governor Abbott's newest executive order
  • Social distancing markers are located on the floor
  • Signage is placed throughout the lobby reminding all guests about physical distancing requirements
  • Front desks will have temporary physical barriers such as Plexiglas installed for added protection
  • Hand Sanitizer Dispenser will be available in the lobby
  • During check-in and in pre-arrival emails guests are provided COVID-19 information with hotel policies regarding distancing and personal protective equipment

What is the Horseshoe Bay Resort current cancellation policy?

We remain committed to offering you flexible booking and cancellation options. Individual cancellations must be made 72 Hours prior to 4pm day of arrival for full refund. . Cancellations within 3 days of arrival or no show will result in in a penalty equivalent to one night room and tax. Upon your arrival we will ask you to reconfirm the number of nights you will be staying. If you subsequently depart before that date your advance deposit will be applied as an early departure fee. Exceptions may apply- Please see rate rules.

Have your public spaces, such as your lobby, changed?

We have increased our staffing of public area attendants to support increased frequency of cleaning surfaces, with EPA approved cleaning agents. We have modified the placement of furniture to support our Social Distancing protocol and we ask all guests to leave a minimum of 6 feet of distance between one another for their protection and the protection of others. Hand Sanitizer stations are available throughout the property.

What is Horseshoe Bay Resort doing to assist guests with staying clean and safe?

We have taken the following steps to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene:
  • Masks are required on all areas of the property to be compliant with Governor Abbott's newest executive order
  • Our hotel teams are receiving ongoing briefings and enhanced operating procedures
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning of all public areas (including the lobby, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.)
  • We have increased the deployment of antibacterial hand sanitizers in all public areas
  • Integration of text messaging engagement platforms are available for questions about your stay by texting 830.264.1211

What has Horseshoe Bay Resort changed in regards to guest room housekeeping?

  • In-room housekeeping service will be not be provided currently
  • Additional linens, towels and toiletries are available by contact free delivery by contacting the Front Desk.
  • Rigorous cleaning and sanitizing protocols will be used to clean guest rooms.
  • Decluttering of guestroom and removal of reusable items from guest rooms including, collateral and directories.

Are the pools open?

Yes, the pools are open, but due to the restrictions in place by the Governor's Office. The pools can only accommodate 50% of our normal capacity.

Is the Horseshoe Bay Resort Paseo Fitness Center open?

Yes, the fitness center is currently open and social distancing is required.

What are my dining options at Horseshoe Bay Resort?

Yes, we have dining options available to you during your stay at Horseshoe Bay Resort. and have options ranging from full service dining, grab ‘n go, pre-packaged food, and to-go options available. Our restaurant seating has been redesigned to incorporate plenty of space for social distancing protocols.  We've increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, added the use of face coverings by our staff and new menu presentation protocols.

  • Grab ‘n go items are available in The Market located in the lobby, daily
  • Breakfast is available in J's Restaurant, Slick Rock Grill and the Cap Rock Food Truck
  • Due to state guidelines J's Bar, is currently closed for walk-up service. You are able to order a cocktail with your server.
  • Lunch is available at J's Restaurant daily, and the Yacht Club Thursday-Sunday, as well as Slick Rock Grill and Cap Rock Food Truck
  • Dinner service is available from J's Restaurant, The Yacht Club, and Whitewater 360 Sports Club
  • In Room coffee makers are available, or coffee and tea is available in The Market for purchase.

Are there Grab & Go Food and Drinks available at Horseshoe Bay Resort?

Snacks and beverages for purchase are available in The Market, located in our hotel lobby.
Coffee and Tea is available starting at The Market in the hotel lobby.

Is Horseshoe Bay Resort still offering dry cleaning and laundry services?

No, we do not have dry cleaning and laundry services available at this time.

Is Bayside Spa and Salon open?

Yes, our salon and select spa services have been reimagined to allow for social distancing between customers, with appointment times staggered for reduced potential of contact between guests.  We've increased our already high cleaning standards. Of course, we will continue as always to launder linens and wipe down table, chairs and equipment between each use.

Do your guest rooms have mini refrigerators?

Yes, all guest rooms have mini refrigerators that are sanitized before each guests stay.

Has anything changes with Meetings & Events?

Our meetings and events teams will collaborate with planners to reimagine their meetings with new meeting set ups, food service protocols and meeting specific options.

Other things I might want to know prior to arrival or during my stay?

  • The pools are open daily and the Hours of Operation can be found here. Resort staff will clean chairs and common surfaces in between sessions.Please note, due to state guidelines, food and beverage at both the Hotel and Yacht Club Pools will be table service only.
  • The Business Center is open and is limited to 2 people and social distancing is required.
  • The Paseo Fitness Center is open

  • Outlets that are currently closed are Waterfront Bar and Grill, Café Del Sol, Herons Landing, and the Jungle Kids Club

We follow CDC guidelines and focus on appropriate cleaning and disinfecting protocols.  The safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees is of paramount importance. In response to coronavirus COVID-19, Horseshoe Bay Resort is reinforcing recommended measures on appropriate hygiene standards and following the guidance of the CDC and WHO, applicable guidelines of the global and local health authorities, and taking relevant health and safety measures. The chemicals used by the Hotel are disinfectant cleaning products. In addition, we have daily cleaning procedures for all parts of the Resort that addresses general cleanliness and disinfection.

What precautions does Horseshoe Bay Resort take?

Our cleaning team has been briefed and trained on proper cleaning procedures to ensure the prevention of the COVID-19 virus. We clean our public facilities more frequently than recommended by CDC guidelines. We use Benefect D-Con cleaners, which is a hospital grade disinfectant spray that kills over 99.99% of bacteria in only 30 seconds and offer more than a dozen hand-sanitizer stations for use throughout our resort.

What can I do to prevent being infected by the COVID-19 virus?

Your everyday actions will help stop the spreading of this disease. This includes washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer (when not visibly soiled); covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and disposing of your used tissue in the waste basket; coughing or sneezing into elbow or upper sleeve if a tissue is not available; not touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands; avoiding personal contact with sick people such as kissing, sharing cups or eating utensils.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

Symptoms include fever, coughing and shortness of breath.

What should I do if I suspect I have COVID-19?

If you suspect exposure to COVID-19 or display symptoms while you are visiting us, seek medical treatment immediately. If you are near Horseshoe Bay Resort, we are located 5 minutes from the Baylor, Scott & White Medical Clinic and 15 minutes from the Baylor, Scott & White Medical Center. Additionally, we are within 25 minutes of 10 medical clinic and urgent care locations and the Seton Medical Center.
